My boyfriend and I have been dating for about two months now and we just started saying I love you, but we had also been a thing for about three months before that. My mom asked the other day if we said I love you to eachother and I lied and said no. I just want to know when the right time is usually to say it in high school.

High school has nothing to do with it, you say it when you feel it.
its always the right time when u feel like u can say it to him and acctually mean it.
.It means about the same thing in high school no matter when you start saying it. You’ll understand the difference more in about 10 yrs or so, when you look back on how you felt about high school boys compared to how you feel about the men you date as an adult.
There is no exact time. As long as you really feel you love him, trust him, and think he is perfect for you, tell him and he should feel the same way!
Well typically in high school saying I love you isn’t as serious as it would be for a more mature couple. No offense at all to you and your boyfriend but usually in high school boyfriend/girlfriend’s usually say I love you within one month or so. So it’s not abnormal but in a mature relationship it would be about 5-8 months? Around there.
it isnt a matter of when is it ok to say it or when is it not. if you love him, you will know. if you dont love him, then dont say it. love isnt a word to be thrown around.. there is alot of emotions and feeling behind it..
There’s no right time for saying I love you. You should say it when you really mean it, not because it’s the right time.
Is it that big deal of saying ‘I love you’! I personally thing the person who say ‘I love you’ everyday, what if his action is otherwise. To love a person need a lot of courtesy, time and sacrifices. Not just words will do. Action speaks louder than words.
Well i congratulate you for waiting longer than anyone in my high school. They all wait a week or less. Saying i love you in high school should have the same wait time as relationships out of high school. When you truly feel that way about them, then you say it. And to truly feel that way, it takes a few months (im guessing) So maybe you’ve waited the proper time since you’ve had a thing going for about 5 months.
why did you lie? it is not good to lie about anything because if you lie about one thing it means that you will lie about something else until you can’t stop and you don’t know one lie from the other and then when you lie you will loose the trust of family and friends. now when you are in high school it is hard to say that you love someone because you are young and don’t really know what love is because love can be different to every one. plus there are a lot of different kinds of love, and your love is different from person to person. you may like a boy very much until you may think that it is love but it could be infatuation. adults say that because during the time that you are in high school you kids say that i love you so many times until it is not love, it’s infatuation. before you get out of high school you may say that you have loved at least three different boys and that means that you have loved tree different times. so that means that you didn’t love that first boy at all you only liked him a lot and were not in love with him at all. so you should wait until you get a little older like maybe the end of high school before you tell some one that you love them.
